Dormicum is a rapidly absorbed up-to date hypnotic of 3-4 hours' duration of action physiologically influencing the phases of normal sleep. In the course of the examination of 26 patients, 21 found the hypnotic action of 7.5-mg or 15-mg Dormicum doses to be highly effective. The drug proved to be an effective hypnotic also in the group of patients above 60 years of age (14). It is of special importance in the everyday practice of a general practitioner that the intake of Dormicum in the evening did not influence the physical and mental activity of the patients the next day.
